A Brooklyn teenager has confessed to the gruesome killings of her mother, and her mother’s boyfriend on New Year’s eve. The bodies were not discovered until 6:30 pm yesterday, January 4.
According to reports, 15-year-old Destiny Garcia confessed during questioning to killing her mother, 38-year-old Rosie Sanchez, and her mother’s boyfriend, 40-year-old Anderson Nunez on New Years Eve. Sanchez was found sitting in a chair with multiple gunshot wounds to her chest. Nunez was found lying on the living room floor. He had been shot and stabbed numerous times.
After the murders, the teenager went to Times Square to celebrate New Years Eve. She returned home and apparently lived with the corpses until their discovery by police.
Destiny told the investigators that she had been physically abused by her mother, and that she had killed the two victims in self-defense.
