Today’s edition represents more than the publication of yet another newspaper. To each of us here it marks the beginning of a renewed commitment to thirty-three years of community-focused journalism.
by Frank Butler, Managing Editor
Our mission is straightforward. We pursue stories because they matter—not because they generate the most clicks. We will continue to explain issues that affect families, businesses, neighborhoods, and local government. We continue to hold public officials accountable while recognizing the individuals and organizations working to improve our community.
We believe readers deserve reporting that is accurate, fair, transparent, and relevant. We also believe local journalism remains one of the strongest foundations of a healthy community. So our editorial philosophy is simple: Every story must earn its place.
If a story informs, protects, explains, investigates, or strengthens the community, it belongs in these pages. That standard will continue to guide every edition of The Orlando Advocate as we remain committed to building a newspaper dedicated to serving Central Florida with integrity and purpose.
