Cosby countersues his accusers

On the heels of a federal judge’s refusal to throw out the lawsuit filed against him by seven women, Bill Cosby has filed a defamation suit against his accusers,  claiming damage to his reputation and financial loss.

The accusers, Tamara Green, Therese Serignese, Linda Traitz, Louisa Moritz, Barbara Bowman, Joan Tarshis and Angela Leslie, filed their defamation suit against Cosby in Massachusettes, where Cosby lives.  It is only one of six lawsuits filed against the comedian this past year, but has the most plaintiffs.

Cosby is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
